The Washington Chapter was chartered in 1977 to empower rural property professionals by providing education and promoting ethical and professional standards. The Chapter promotes the professions of farm management, agricultural consulting, and rural appraisal by holding meetings for the exchange of ideas, conducting education, and holding its members to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practice.
The Chapter hosts two meetings per year, typically in the spring and fall. They pride themselves on providing quality education to meet their member’s needs tailoring topics to specialty crops (sharing data, costs and other appraisal issues), providing continuing education credits as well as a unique tour. They encourage their officers to attend the ASFMRA Leadership Institute, and the ASFMRA annual meeting.
